Laureus Sport for Good supports more than 180 sports-based community programs in over 40 countries, helping to address the many social challenges facing children and young people around the world. Together, Laureus and Mercedes-Benz are working to help children overcome violence, discrimination and disadvantage in their lives in over 20 markets worldwide.

This partnership has now become the most important aspect of the Mercedes-Benz’s social commitment as we work together tirelessly to offer disadvantaged children all over the world a better future: through sport the children learn to bring out the very best in themselves – an experience that will help them thrive later on in life.

Changing the game for kids in Thailand

Mercedes-Benz helped Laureus Sport for Good collaborated with Right to Play Thai Foundation, an organization that uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children facing adversity.

Together with Mercedes-Benz, Right to Play’s programme utilized the power of sports to create safe spaces, trained 30 youth leaders and engaged vulnerable young people in urban Bangkok. Furthermore, we supported sport and play activities as well as life-skill lessons twice a week for 500 young people in these urban communities.

Mercedes-Benz and our partners were committed to offering young people a brighter future through sport, which enabled them to become the best versions of themselves. As one team, we worked to empower the future generation, because, to change the world, we need to keep moving.
