This AMG steering wheel is fully finished in fine nappa leather and perforated in the grip area. The flattened shape typical of AMG has been adopted from motorsport, and underlines the sportiness of the cockpit. Ergonomically positioned Touch Control buttons ensure intuitive user-friendliness and are conducive to focussed driving.

The AMG DYNAMIC SELECT switch with AMG-specific drive programs enables the driver to adapt the vehicle character perfectly to suit the desired driving experience. The driver can choose between the pre-configured programs "Comfort", "Sport", "Sport+", "Slippery" and "Race" (only available for the C 63 S) – or can configure a personal vehicle configuration in the "Individual" program.

The V6 biturbo engine is characterised by a powerful output with low fuel consumption and emissions. The high power output is thanks to separate, larger turbochargers (maximum charge pressure 1.1 bar) among other things. Both turbochargers are installed close to the engine and respond particularly swiftly. The AMG engine is distinguishable by the engine cover with red aluminium insert and AMG lettering.

The C 43 4MATIC features the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission, which the Mercedes-AMG developers have tuned specifically to deliver a dynamic driving experience. The separate software application allows very short shift times. The multiple-downshift function allows fast in-gear acceleration while the double-declutching function helps to ensure an even more emotive driving experience in the "Sport" and "Sport+" modes.

The 4.0-litre V8 engine from Mercedes-AMG impresses with explosive power delivery and very finely controllable power output – manufactured by a highly qualified team according to the legendary "one man, one engine" principle. Alloys adopted from motorsport in the cylinder heads and also cylinder barrels featuring NANOSLIDE® technology round off the technology package.

With 9 gears plus the RACE START function and double-declutching function, this transmission allows extremely dynamic acceleration and ultra-short shift times as well as a fuel-saving driving style. The systematic further development of hardware and software has made it possible to further optimise the reaction times. This means that the driver's shift commands can be carried out faster than ever before. Gear changes are performed with no interruption in tractive power. Ultra-fast, responsive multiple downshifts are another forte of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed sports transmission. The driver can change via kickdown directly from 9th into 6th or from 5th into 2nd gear, for example. The RACE START function supports optimal acceleration from a standstill as with a start in motorsport.
