Division Competition

The individual competition will consist of 18-hole Double Peoria, 36 System, Callaway system and Count back 9 to play in accordance with rules of Golf as approved by R&A, USGA and local rules of the golf courses.

 

Divisions (MEN)

  • Division A: Handicap 0-12: Top 3 highest score individuals in each golf course will be qualified for the country Final.

  • Division B: Handicap 13-20: Top 3 highest score individuals in each golf course will be qualified for the country Final.

  • Division C: Handicap 21-24: Top 3 highest score individuals in each golf course will be qualified for the country Final.

Divisions (WOMEN)

  • Division D: Handicap 0-36: Top 3 highest score individuals in each golf course will be qualified for the country Final.

Remark:

Handicap groupings will be subjected to change depending on the number of players in each division and the players can be automatically disqualified if they do not meet tournament requirement and conditions or break the Tournament Rules.

***The two net winners in each handicap division A and B for Men’s divisions and the winner of handicap division C for Men’s division and the winner of Women’s division at Country Final round will be qualified for Asian Final.***

Conditions of Competition

1. List of Conforming Driver Heads (Note to Rule 4-1)   

     Any driver the player carries must have a clubhead, identified by model and loft, that is named on the current List of Conforming Driver Heads issued by the R&A.           

     Penalty for carrying, but not making stroke with club or clubs in breach of condition:           

     Match play - At the conclusion of the hole at which the breach is discovered, the state of the match is adjusted by deducting one hole for each hole at which a breach occurred;           

     maximum deduction per round - Two holes.           

     Stroke play - Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred;           

     maximum penalty per round - Four strokes (two strokes at each of the first two holes at which any breach occurred).           

     Match play or stroke play - If a breach is discovered between the play of two holes, it is deemed to have been discovered during play of the next hole, and the penalty must be applied accordingly.

      Procedure When Breach Discovered           

      Any club or clubs carried in breach of this condition must be declared out of play by the player to his opponent in match play or his marker or a fellow competitor in stroke play immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred. If the player fails to do so, he is disqualified.           

      Penalty for making stroke with club in breach of condition: Disqualification.  

 

2. List of Conforming Golf Balls (Note to Rule 5-1)             

     The ball the player plays must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the R&A.             

     Penalty for Breach of Condition: Disqualification. 

3. Pace of Play (Note 2 to Rule 6-7)             

      3.1 Time Allowed:                 

     Each hole has been giver a maximum completion based upon the length and difficult of the hole. The maximum time allotted for the completion of 18 18 hole will be available prior to play.

Definition of Out of Position:               

     The first group and any group after a starter’s gap will be considered to be “out of position” if, at any time during the round, the group’s cumulative time exceeds the time allowed for the number of holes completed. Any following group will be considered “out of position” if it is more than the starting interval behind the group in front and has exceeded the time allowed for the number of holes played.  

     3.2 Procedure When Group is At of Position:           

     3.2.1 If a decision is taker to time the group, each player in the group will be subject to individual timing by a rules official, Each player in the group will be advised that they are “out of position” and are being timed.  

     3.2.2 The maximum time collocated per shot is 40 seconds. 10 enter seconds are allowed for the first player to play: 

          ➢ On a par three hole;

          ➢ An approach shot; and

          ➢ A chip or putt             

The timing will start when a player has had sufficient time to reach his bell, it is his turn to play and he is able to play without interference or destruction on the putting green, timing will start when the player has had a reasonable amount   of time to lift, clean and replace his ball, repair ball marks and move loose impediments  on his line of put. Time spent looking at the line from beyond the hole and or behind the ball will count as part of the time taken for the rent stoolie.

     3.2.3 Timing ceases when a group is back in position and players will be advised accordingly       

     3.2.4 The Rules official may advised the following groups that the group in front is being timed.

Penalty for Breach of Condition:   

One bad time      -   Verbal warning by official   

Two bad time      -   One stroke penalty   

Three bad time    -   Two stroke penalty   

Four bad time      -   Disqualification

     3.3 Procedure When again Out of Position During Same Round:           

     The above procedure will apply on each occasion. Bad times and the application of penalties in the same sound will be carried forward until the sound is completed. 

4. Suspension of Play Due to a Dangerous Situation (Note to Rule 6-8b)        

     4.1 Discontinue Play immediately: One prolonged note of siren.       

     4.2 Resume Play: Two prolonged notes of siren.               

     In case of discontinue play immediately: If a player fails to discontinue play immediately, he is disqualified, unless circumstances warrant waiving the penalty as provided by committee (Rule 337).           

     Note: All practice areas shall be closed during a suspension for a dangerous situation until the Tournament Director has declared them open. Players who disregard such closing shall be subject to disciplinary action.   

5. Practice Between Holes (Note 2 to Rule 7)       

      Between the play of two holes, a player must not make any practice stroke on or near the putting green of the hole last played and must not test the surface of the putting green of the hole last played by rolling a ball.       

     Penalty for Breach of Condition:   

     Stroke play     -  Two strokes at the next hole.                       

                          -   In the case of a breach at the last hole of the stipulated round, the player incurs the penalty at that hole.                 

     Exception: This condition does not apply to pre-tournament Pro-Am or Match Play tournaments.   

6. Transportation       

     Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorized by the committee.       

     Penalty for Breach of Condition: 

     Match play   -    At the conclusion of the hole at which the breach is discovered, the state of the match is adjusted by deducting one hole for each hole at which a breach occurred;             maximum deduction per round – Two holes.      Use of any unauthorized form of transportation must be discontinued immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred. Otherwise, the player is disqualified.

7. How to Decide Ties       

     The decision of ties will be declared by committee.  

8. Caddy       

     The competitors must use golf course’s caddy.   

9. Result of the Competition – Competition Closed       

When the final results sheet is placed on the official notice board, the result of the Competition is deemed to have been officially announced.
