Japanese courtesy even before the start: immediately upon their arrival, Suzuki Hidetoshi and Nakayama Daisuke gift sweets from their homeland to the organisers of the Hamburg-Berlin-Klassik Rally. These two have taken the longest journey to the rally on dream roads through northern German – their great joy in their participation is clear to see. They are driving a Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet from ALL TIME STARS, the vehicle trading platform by Mercedes-Benz Classic, meaning they are on the road as stylish as they are comfortable.

It begins at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin – an impressive backdrop for the around 180 classic cars that will spend the next three days driving to Hamburg. The closer the start gets, the greater the bustle around the cars. Hidetoshi and Daisuke, on the other hand, are peace personified. They have pleasurably studied the dark blue cabriolet in every detail, breathed in the aroma of the leather in the interior, placed their bags in the huge boot. Now the team is ready, and they line up towards the start flag. Then the flag signals: the start of almost 750 kilometres, of which the participants will enjoy each and every one just as much as the special stages.
