The DTM (German Touring Car Masters) was established more than 20 years ago. It is the most popular touring car racing series in the world. Mercedes-Benz has been a solid part of this tradition from almost the very beginning – including its presence on the winners' podium. Since joining the DTM circuit in 1988, Mercedes-Benz has chalked up more victories than any other manufacturer. One key contribution to this came from Mercedes-Benz' triple win in the overall rankings for the 2010 season. These triumphs and others make the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which this year will compete in the series in its third model generation, the most successful vehicle in DTM history. Victorious Mercedes drivers such as Bernd Schneider, Gary Paffett, Klaus Ludwig and Paul di Resta have also had a lasting impact on the racing series.
