Every year in February and November professional golfers from all over the world compete in these tournaments on the two most spectacular golf courses of Dubai, the "Majlis" and the "Faldo".
Until 2014 Mercedes-Benz will continue to support the Dubai Desert Classic, the region’s most relevant tournament, with an exclusive chauffeur service. The world’s best golfers travel in comfort to and from the golf course – the exclusive Emirates Golf Club – exclusively in saloons bearing the three-pointed star. Among famous great golfers who have won the Classic (such as Tiger Woods or Ernie Els), over and over again, outsiders can be found who also manage to celebrate their successes on this demanding course. For instance, the winner of the 2011 Dubai Desert Classic 2011, Alvaro Quiros, ranked 37 in the world ranking before his victory.
