The 10th Mercedes-Benz Junior Golf Championships kick-off in September with an enhanced programme featuring for the first time a class for male and female golfers aged 23 years and under. In addition, Burapha Golf Course in Chonburi province has been chosen to host the Mercedes-Benz Asian Masters Final, the concluding round of the Championship in June 2012.
Since their inception, the Mercedes-Benz Junior Golf Championships have proven extremely popular due to their unique format of combining golfing skills and educational excellence in determining the eventual winners.
This year over 1,000 young golfers are expected to tee-off in the qualifying rounds of the Championships with the top finishers going onto compete in the Mercedes-Benz Asian Masters Final against the best golfers from around the region. Top finishing Thai players from the Masters Final represent the Mercedes-Benz golf team in an international tournament overseas.
The tournament is divided into 4 age categories, with classes for boys and girls: 12 years old and under, 14 years old and under, 18 years old and under and 23 years old and under.
