Bangkok – To initiate a new dual education program for vocational students majoring in mechanics under the campaign of “New Milestone of Mercedes-Benz Technical Apprenticeship under German-Thai Dual Excellence Education”, Mercedes–Benz (Thailand) Limited and the German–Thai Chamber of Commerce recently signed an educational MOU for the development of Thai vocational students under German’s higest standards for automotive industry.
Mr. Jörg Buck, Executive Director of the German - Thai Chamber of Commerce, added that “Mercedes-Benz Technical Apprenticeship Program is exactly matched with our GTDEE Program that is founded under the cooperation of the German Thai Chamber of Commerce and German International Cooperation (GIZ) which recognizes the gap in industrial segment of Thailand in which more skilled labor is in need. Our program, designed to be a complete dual–vocational education program in German style, is created to provide higest standards and a clear approach in vocational education based on Thai vocational education system. Students in this program will be trained to be ready for industrial competition and AEC. Curricula available are co–developed by participating companies and customized to match with their demands. They can offer courses and practical classes in their companies as well to make sure that this educational project can fulfill necessary fundamentals of each company. At the end, each student who graduated from our program will be awarded with our excellence certificate. For this scholarly educational scheme, the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce will be the counselling hub, information center, and will also supervise the whole program under German’s criteria. We are positively believe that this MOU signing with Mercedes–Benz will lay a wider path of future for students under Mercedes-Benz Technical Apprenticeship Program. In near future, we also wish to welcome new educational partners for the purpose of our program’s variety.”
